Méduses Improv

Since 2010, LFM has programmed free-improvisation into their concerts. First appearing under the title “Noise”, the duo has given over 100 improvisations in live concert settings - anything from short improvised preludes to long form improvisations such as a silent feature film (A Page of Madness) and a 1-hour continuous improvisation on the theme “the Stations of the Cross”. In 2018, LFM released the album “Still Life” which is comprised of 17 free improvisations. They teach a silent film/ensemble class that brings classical musicians - of all ages, instruments and levels - together in the art of improvisation through the use of silent film.
