A Japanese Silent Film psychological classic with improvised music by Choi, Avers and Albert. A combination of acoustic and electric sounds - oscillators, ring modulators and glitches. Very intense.

“Mekanisk” was commissioned in 2013 for children’s shows in Norway. It is a theatrical piece that uses two amplified classical guitars and a back-lit projection screen. The spectacle is centered around the highly imaginative short films of the French film maker and pioneer, Georges Melies. The duo weaves music around the magic and drama on the screen.
The Unknown film score was co-commissioned by the Alamo Draft House and Austin Classical Guitar in 2012. Les Freres Meduses (Benoit Albert and Avers) created a 55 minute score with original music and arrangements of Ravel, DeFalla, Albeniz and Granados. The premiere performance showcased Will Fedkenheuer, from the Miro String Quartet, on violin. The Austin Critics Round Table nominated this performance as a finalist for “chamber performance of the year”.
